This week was British Science Week and as has happened in previous years, Year 5 were invited up to Lipson Co-Operative Academy for a practical workshop.
The theme of this year's Science Week is 'Journeys', so the children were given a design brief to help Mr Watson commute from his dream house at Mount Edgecombe, across the Sound and into school.
During the session, the children worked in small teams to create amphibious vehicles out of basic materials and resources. These were then tested to see which one could travel across 'land and sea' the best. Below are some pictures of their designs.
