We run a 'soft drop off' for the start of the school day for all pupils. This is between 8.45am and 8.55am. All pupils should be in school and in class by 8.55am. Any pupils arriving after this time should enter through the main office, where they will be marked as late.

Collection for pupils is as follows:

• Foundation 3.10pm

• Key Stage One 3.15pm

• Key Stage Two 3.20pm

We encourage independence for our pupils and ask for Key Stage Two pupils to be dropped off at the main gate for them to make their own way to class (a teacher will be waiting for them). Key Stage One pupils are greeted by their class teacher on the Key Stage One playground. Foundation pupils are greeted by their class teacher at the 'rainbow fence' on the Key Stage Two playground.

At the end of the school day, pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 will be dismissed from their classes and can meet their parents/carers in an agreed place. Year 3 and Key Stage One pupils are dismissed to parents/carers from the Key Stage One playground. Foundation pupils are dismissed to parents/carers from the 'rainbow fence' on the Key Stage Two playground.

Whatever the circumstances, your child will not be allowed to leave school before the home time noted above unless you or some other authorised adult collects them

If your child is ill or has to go home for some other reason, you will be contacted.

 

TEACHING TIME

​

During each school day, KS1 children receive 5 hours and 15 minutes session time (including 15 minutes break) and KS2 children 5 hours and 20 minutes session time (including 15 minutes break).

​

Actual teaching time is:  KS1 22.5 hours per week; KS2 23.5 hours per week.

The total time in school each week is 32.5 hours for KS1 and 32.9 hours for KS2.
