Update following Government Announcement on Monday 4th January.
Dear Parent and carers,
Following the government announcement this evening, Lipson Vale will be closed to ALL pupils tomorrow, Tuesday 5th January. Staff will use the day to ensure that remote learning is in place for all pupils from Wednesday.
EduCare for KeyWorker and vulnerable children will also be available from Wednesday. We will be contacting you with further information tomorrow including finding out whether you need support with accessing Google Classroom. Families who previously used EduCare will be contacted to discuss need and new families will be able to apply if they fit the criteria.
Please do not try and contact us by phone initially, as we will be working remotely and will be in contact again shortly. If you do have an urgent query please email us at , this account will be monitored as normal from tomorrow morning.
Thank you for continued cooperation and patience.

Please be patient as we work to resolve any issues. We are all in this together and will only make the best of the situation through a respectful and positive approach.
As always, thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all again once schools are back up and running as normal.
A note on E-Safety
Many of the tasks suggested for your children during this time require your child to access resources online, including the use of search engines and video sharing website such as YouTube. In school we have restrictions in place to reduce the likelihood of the children accessing inappropriate material whilst online. If you do not already have web filters in place, we recommend contacting your internet service provider (BT, Virgin Media, TalkTalk etc.), who will be able to advise you on how to set these up. Putting these measures in place will provide a degree of protection for your child whilst online as, particularly when so many of you will be working from home, it is unlikely that your child can be directly supervised at all times.
