Mayflower 400 Art Competition

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Mayflower 400 Art competition. We were extremely impressed by the quality of work we received. All submitted art work will be displayed on our website for you to view (https://www.lvps.co.uk/art-and-dt). I’m sure you will agree we have some very talented artists at Lipson Vale Primary.

As you can imagine it was very difficult choosing an overall winner but we would like to congratulate Summer Beresford in Year 6 for this stunning watercolour of Smeaton’s Tower in a bottle. It captures the some of the iconic landmarks of Plymouth and incorporates the Mayflower 400 celebrations too. Congratulations Summer!

Furthermore, Mr Whittaker and I have decided to combine elements from a number of entries to create a collaborative panel design which will showcase our pupils’ talents.

Well done everyone, Mrs Barras

P.S. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing public health crisis the production of proposed Mayflower panel has been postponed until further notice.
