Hello from the Year 1 team!
We are hoping that you will soon see our video introducing you to Year 1! Although things are a bit tricky at the moment due to Covid restrictions, we wanted to share some of our learning with you. Updates will be uploaded on to the school Facebook and Google Classroom, so please keep an eye on these and let us know if you have any issues accessing them.
We have been learning all about journeys at sea and have learned all about the Mayflower and the Pilgrims voyage to America. We have designed and made our own boats and even tested them out in water. In art, learned about Constable and created our own stormy sea paintings.
The weather has been lovely, so we have been making the most of this and have been taking our learning outside. The children have adapted into Year 1 really well and are taking it all in their stride!
